when i fish on my open ended feeder , why do i need a swivel , could i not just use my mainline throughout the rig and just attatching the feeder with either shots or a bead? do i really need a swivel ?

@TexanFishin Try the” lift float method” or sunken float method, its just a float with a very small sinker about 3- 6 inches from the hook, just heavy enough to sink the float, when the carp sucks the bait up of the bottom the float will rise out the water, at which point you strike!!!,

  15. CarpMagic95 says:

yeah i know i hate that to, cos unless youve kicked about in the soft grass properly, got down on your hands and checked it properly there could be all mannor of things in that grass, like glass, stones, can tops what ever you know and why bother when an unhooking mat is so easy to use and carry? Why take a years worth of tackle and bait and leave probably the lightest thing at home anyway?

  16. dodgadavis says:

matt and mck are very talented in what they do,but have you noticed they never use unooking mat they say ill put it on soft bed of grss??

  18. casspir912 says:

No, a fly reel is very basic, some do have a ratchet though.

Fly casting just takes practice ,but is not to difficult.

    Hope this helps!
